Banana Seat is a 10-piece band hailing from the Norman/Oklahoma City area, formed in 1996. Their quest to pay ultimate tribute to the greatest artists and songs of the 1970s and 80s has earned them recognition as one of the top musical acts in the Southwest Region.

You will not hear more accurate renderings of difficult-to-cover bands such as Earth, Wind and Fire, Chicago and Steely Dan anywhere else. The band displays an impressively diverse repertoire, covering everything from Donna Summer to Styx to Squeeze. Their grand instrumentation, including a four-piece horn section and rich, complex vocal arrangements, ensures that each number is given the attention to detail it deserves.

The band does not incorporate any artificial technologies or devices such as pitch enhancers or overdubbing - what you see is what you get. The resulting sound is authentic, soulful, and most importantly, big!

Banana Seat has also released its own CD of original songs called 'Everything Glitters'.

The band has performed for myriad high-profile clients including the NCAA & Big XII Conference, Merrill Lynch, Frontier City theme park and Dr. Pepper. In addition, they have opened for national acts Men at Work and Rick Springfield as well as many others.
